FÅGELSJÖ VIRTUAL WORLD HERITAGE
Fågelsjö Virtual World Heritage
Fågelsjö gammelgård is part of the Unesco World Heritage site “The Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland”. Since 2018 Region Gävleborg in close collaboration with Länsmuseet Gävleborg have been working to make Fågelsjö - with it’s uniquely preserved 19th Century interiors - accessible and available to a wider audience through the project Virtual World Heritage. The project involves a permanent VR-room at Länsmuseet Gävleborg where visitors can experience the heritage site digitally.
In 2020 Region Gävleborg and Länsmuseet Gävleborg commissioned Pusselbit Games to further develop the Virtual Reality experience, adding a more full museum experience in VR as well as a narrative story mode.
